A Ship Production Engine speeds up a Shipyard's ship building; a Graveyard Reconstruction Engine speeds up graveyard recovery. They are forged with resources and installed in the Shipyard's Engine Bay, where they give a passive bonus (+15โ35%) for 30 days. Once calibrated, one can be overcharged for a week at full power (up to +300%), after which it burns out. See Engines. | |||
=== Can engines be stolen? === | |||
Yes, in solo attacks. Stored engines are looted like resources, and a winning raid has a 25% chance to steal and a 15% chance to destroy each installed engine. Joint (FCS) attacks take no engines; they can only destroy installed ones. Overcharged engines and engines still being forged are safe. See Engines โ Raiding. | |||

=== When will the game send me notifications? === | |||
On Android, the game asks for notification permission once when it starts; the game keeps loading behind the question. If you say no (and on iPhone), it asks with a short question after you send your first fleet, once the tutorial is done. If you choose Not now, it asks again a few days later, up to three times; if notifications are blocked on your device, it offers to open your system settings. You can also turn them on any time from Settings โ Notification Settings, which shows a Turn On Notifications button while they are off. With notifications on you get attack alerts, finished builds and research, fleet arrivals and alliance news. Return reminders are occasional nudges when you have been away: if you stop playing, you get one after about two days and another after about five, telling you if your colonies were attacked while you were gone or that your alliance needs you. You can turn Return reminders off under Settings โ Notification Settings. See Version 1.4.8. | |||

On a new phone, open Settings โ Account โ Sign-in methods and link the method you used before. The game sees that it belongs to your empire and offers to switch this device to it. You can keep only one empire: empires are never merged, and the one you leave is deleted. | |||

You can unlink a method at any time, except the last one of an empire that is only played on the web. Device Migration (a one-time code from your old device) still works too. See Version 1.4.12. | |||

=== Can I play with a screen reader? === | |||
VoiceOver (iPhone, iPad) and TalkBack (Android) read the game's buttons by name. The bottom bar says each button's name with its counts and alerts, for example Fleets, 3 of 10 fleets in use, Attack incoming. Top-bar resources read their name and how full storage is, and timers read as progress bars with the time left. Close and Back buttons are named. On iPhone, the two-finger scrub gesture closes the open window. Commands that need a long press, like sending a fleet straight from the Fleet button, are in the screen reader's Actions menu. Some players also hear notifications read aloud, and focus moves to the title of each window that opens; this is rolling out gradually. The planet surface and galaxy map are still visual only. Until list views for them are ready, use the colony list, galaxy search and Imperial Overview. See Version 1.4.7. | |||
== Help & Support == | |||
=== How do I contact support? === | |||
Open Settings โ About โ Help & Support. Check the Game Guide first; if it does not answer your question, tap Contact Support and create a ticket with a category, subject and message. Your tickets show their status โ Waiting for support, Answered or Closed โ and you can reply inside each ticket. You can attach up to 3 screenshots per message. A push notification and a New reply label tell you when support has answered. Up to 3 tickets can be open at once. A closed ticket can be reopened by replying within 7 days of closing; after that, create a new ticket. | |||
=== Do I need to report an issue listed under Known issues? === | |||
No. The Known issues banner at the top of Help & Support lists problems we are already aware of and working on. You don't need to file a ticket for them. | |||

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about Per Regna โ progression, economy, fleets, combat, and cosmetics.
For step-by-step starts see Beginner Guides. For deeper play see Advanced Strategy. In-game: Settings โ Quick Guides.
Getting Started
What is a Realm?
A Realm is a progression tier of the universe. Higher Realms unlock ships, buildings, research, and alliance systems.
- Ascend when you meet the Realm Score shown on your profile.
- On ascension your colonies move to a new galaxy; ships and resources come with you.
- See Realms Overview for focus by Realm.
| Realm | Unlock highlights |
|---|---|
| Realm 1 | Foundation economy and fleets |
| Realm 2 | Moons, trading, early alliances |
| Realm 3 | Warp Gates, deeper combat & expeditions |
| Realm 4 | Prestige, late capitals, major AvA |
What should I focus on in my first days?
- Keep energy positive (Solar Plant)
- Upgrade Steel / Quartz mines and Warehouse
- Follow onboarding quests
- Unlock Probe and scout before hard fights
- Prefer economy over oversized fleets early
Full checklist: Beginner Guides.
What makes my Homeworld special?
Your Homeworld has stronger base production, extra building slots, and cannot be abandoned like a normal colony. Invest in it early.
Resources & Energy
Why is my mine production low?
Negative energy cuts mine output. Build more power (Solar Plant, Fusion Reactor, Elerium Reactor) before stacking mines.
When does Gas become important?
Gas fuels fleets, many mid/late researches, and expeditions. Prioritize Gas Extractor once you move fleets often.
Fleets & Expeditions
How do Expeditions work?
Send fleets into nebula zones for resources, ships, and relic pieces. Larger fleets can earn more but risk more. See Expeditions.
Which ships should I send?
Early: Probe, cargo, light combat. Later: add Science Vessel and specialist hulls. Composition affects recovered ship types โ see Expeditions.
Can I recall fleets?
Yes, before arrival. They return faster; fuel already spent is not refunded.
Tip: After a last-minute scout, open the scout report (or its mail row while it is still fresh โ about the last 10 minutes) to recall Attack or Station fleets still bound for that target. Transport and other peaceful missions are not listed. One fleet shows a single Recall Attack / Recall Station control (on the mail row, tap its โฎ button); several fleets show a short list (origin, time remaining, per-fleet recall). Example: launch an attack, scout the destination, see stronger defenses than expected, then recall from the report without hunting the fleet list.
What is debris?
Destroyed ships leave debris fields you collect with Recycler / Advanced Recycler. Rates differ for PvP vs pirates and rise with Salvage Operations. See Fleet Combat.
Research
Why is research slow?
Speed scales with Research Lab levels and, from mid game, Colonial Administration linking labs into a network. See Research.
What should I research first?
Energy, propulsion, basic weapons/shields, and sensors โ enough to unlock Probe, cargo, and early combat. Full tree: Research Catalog.
Combat & Protection
How does PvP warning work?
Defenders are not pinged at launch. Early-warning pushes fire in a 10โ30 minute window before arrival, shaped by Radar Station and attacker Frigates. Full rules: Fleet Detection.
Can I lose everything if attacked?
No. Warehouse + Resource Protection shelter a share of resources; Fleet Hangar can protect docked fleets (with stun rules โ Fleet Stun); defenses may partially recover.
What is Rapid Fire?
Some ships and defenses strike certain targets multiple times per round. See Rapid Fire and each unitโs infobox.
Workshop & Engines
What does the Engineering Lab Workshop make?
From Realm 4: Translocators (Colony Relocate boosts) and Engines. Open an Engineering Lab and tap Open Workshop. See Engineering Lab โ Workshop.
What do engines do?
A Ship Production Engine speeds up a Shipyard's ship building; a Graveyard Reconstruction Engine speeds up graveyard recovery. They are forged with resources and installed in the Shipyard's Engine Bay, where they give a passive bonus (+15โ35%) for 30 days. Once calibrated, one can be overcharged for a week at full power (up to +300%), after which it burns out. See Engines.
Can engines be stolen?
Yes, in solo attacks. Stored engines are looted like resources, and a winning raid has a 25% chance to steal and a 15% chance to destroy each installed engine. Joint (FCS) attacks take no engines; they can only destroy installed ones. Overcharged engines and engines still being forged are safe. See Engines โ Raiding.
Alliances & Cosmetics
Why join an Alliance?
Shared vault, research, territory, FCS rallies, and branding. See Alliances.
What is Alliance Power?
Investment ranking from alliance buildings and research (not vault balance). Fleet titles from Flotilla to Grand Fleet set the War Guild levy for Riftwakeโs alien scar bounty. No territory โ ineligible. See Alliance Power.
What is the War Guild levy?
The War Guild (Trade Unionโs war counterpart) requires a one-time vault contribution before Wakeheart attacks so only prepared alliances contest alien garrisons. Spines stay free. Your alliance must also have taken part in clearing a Siphon Spine that window โ joining an ally's spine rally counts. See Riftwake Incursion#war guild levy.
Do relics / cosmetics give combat power?
No. Relics and Cosmetics are identity and prestige. Class bonuses come from Monuments / Player Classes.
Notifications
When will the game send me notifications?
Account
How do I keep my empire if I change phones?
Link a sign-in method under Settings โ Account โ Sign-in methods: your email (we send you a 6-digit code), your Google account, or Apple on iPhone. A โ shows each linked method. On the web, sign in with any linked method to play the same empire.
On a new phone, open Settings โ Account โ Sign-in methods and link the method you used before. The game sees that it belongs to your empire and offers to switch this device to it. You can keep only one empire: empires are never merged, and the one you leave is deleted.
- If the empire you are leaving is less than a day old (for example the one the tutorial just started), it is simply deleted.
- Otherwise you are asked to confirm twice, and told about any unused Quantum Shards or purchases on it, which are lost. It is deleted after 7 days; its other devices and sign-in methods then open the empire you switched to.
You can unlink a method at any time, except the last one of an empire that is only played on the web. Device Migration (a one-time code from your old device) still works too. See Version 1.4.12.
Accessibility
Can I play with a screen reader?
Help & Support
How do I contact support?
Open Settings โ About โ Help & Support. Check the Game Guide first; if it does not answer your question, tap Contact Support and create a ticket with a category, subject and message. Your tickets show their status โ Waiting for support, Answered or Closed โ and you can reply inside each ticket. You can attach up to 3 screenshots per message. A push notification and a New reply label tell you when support has answered. Up to 3 tickets can be open at once. A closed ticket can be reopened by replying within 7 days of closing; after that, create a new ticket.
Do I need to report an issue listed under Known issues?
No. The Known issues banner at the top of Help & Support lists problems we are already aware of and working on. You don't need to file a ticket for them.
