Overview
The Small Shield Dome is an entry-level planetary barrier that absorbs incoming damage across your defense grid — no weapons, pure survivability.
Special capabilities
Shield barrier / soak
- Area Damage Absorption — soaks a portion of raid damage before turrets lose hull
- High shield and hull pool relative to early turrets
- Pairs with mixed turrets: domes buy time while batteries apply Rapid Fire
Strategic Use
- First dome worth building once raids stop being probe-only
- Upgrade path to Large Shield Dome and eventually Planetary Dome
- Combine with EMP Emitter on later worlds so turrets fire into weakened shields
