Overview
The Planetary Dome is a massive layered barrier that dramatically reduces incoming fleet DPS — the final-tier survivability structure in Per Regna.
Special capabilities
Shield barrier / soak
- Planetary Barrier Field — top-end shared absorption for the entire defense grid
- Enormous shield and hull pools — requires heavy siege fleets to crack
- Build limit scales with Defense Yard level, Shield Technology, and Fortress Doctrine — each dome type has its own cap (see Defense Yard)
Strategic Use
- Cornerstone of late-game colony defense alongside Prism Tower and Railgun Tower
- Makes farming raids unprofitable when stacked appropriately
- Invest before you become a high-profile Realm 4 target
