Chat translation, a Halloween theme, Mandate fatigue that counts every recent Riftwake win, a launch that reconnects by itself, and a faster first launch on Android.
Changes
- Chat translation: long-press another player's message in world, alliance, diplomacy or FCS chat, or in a private conversation, and choose Translate. The message is translated into your game language and shows "Translated from β¦"; tap Show original / Show translation to switch. Messages already in your language don't show the option. Translated messages stay translated on your device for about two weeks. There is a daily limit per player. See Frequently Asked Questions.
- Halloween theme: for Halloween, alliance buildings and empty building slots get Halloween art, and every planet on the galaxy map becomes a pumpkin. Your own building skins and planet images are not changed and come back when the event ends.
- Riftwake: Mandate fatigue now counts an alliance's Realmwarden wins over the last 4 Riftwake weeks, back to back or not. Every win after the first is β5% attack, hull and shields against Siphon Spines and the Wakeheart (β15% at most), and it fades as older wins drop out of the 4 weeks. Taking turns at the Wakeheart no longer avoids it. Riftwake Command β Command has a new Mandate fatigue list with every alliance that won recently, its win count and its fatigue this week. See Riftwake Incursion.
- Launch: when the game can't reach the server while loading, it keeps trying for about 30 seconds ("Connecting to the server...") instead of showing Retry after a few seconds. If the server is still unreachable, the Retry screen keeps trying again by itself, and right away when you come back to the app. Retry still works.
- Faster first launch on Android: the loading screen no longer waits for the Google Play Games sign-in, which could take from a few seconds up to 30 seconds. Play Games is linked once the game is open. If you install on a new phone and already have an empire on Play Games, the game still brings you back to it.
- Trading Center: market offers and the accept dialog show the seller's alliance tag before their name. See Trading System.
- Expeditions: an exploring fleet's card shows its depth as "Depth X/Y" under the timer, also while it waits for your Extract / Continue decision. See Expeditions/Depth System.
- Nebulae: a shifting nebula has a red border on the galaxy map. Scouted and shifting borders now also show on the zoomed-out overview map.
- Fleet send screen: an info button in the header opens the Quick Guide for the selected mission. See Fleet and Ships.
- Chat: long-pressing a message shows its actions as icon tiles with labels that wrap onto a second row, so the last actions (Report, Block, Translate) are no longer cut off on phones.
Fixes
- Riftwake: attacking a Siphon Spine that another alliance had already cleared no longer takes the clear (and its Wakeheart entry, Spinebreaker share, hold bonus and mail) away from them. A rival can still take a spine by clearing it after it respawns.
- Radar scan: a warp-hopped fleet on its way back now shows its home colony as the destination, not the warp gate it hopped through.
- Building slots: the slot cap now counts the levels actually built, as the app shows them, on every colony. Some planets and moons could build past their cap; they keep their buildings but can't add levels until a Terraformer, Moon Terraformer or Planetary Engineering level makes room. A few colonies that were blocked too early get their free slots back.
