Account Lifecycle

How a Per Regna account moves from a fresh empire to a long break and back: account statuses, what vacation mode allows and blocks, what happens to empires that stay away for a long time, and when an account is removed.

For combat rules against each status see Fleet Combat. Keeping your empire across phones is covered in FAQ β†’ Account.

Account statuses

Other commanders see your status on your profile and in system views. It decides who can attack or scout you.

Status When What it means
Active You played in the last 7 days Normal play. Attack rules, immunity and score-bully limits apply as described in Fleet Combat.
Inactive No activity for 7+ days You can still be attacked and scouted, and grief protection no longer applies. Signing in makes you Active again.
Inactive (M) No activity for 30+ days As Inactive.
Vacation You turned on vacation mode, or scheduled account deletion Nobody can attack or scout you, and you cannot attack. Production stops. See Vacation mode.
Suspended Set by moderators for rule breaks Works like vacation mode until the suspension ends.

New empires also start with a 7-day immunity shield: they cannot be attacked or scouted while it lasts (see Fleet Combat).

Vacation mode

Settings β†’ Vacation β†’ Vacation Mode protects your empire while you are away.

Before you can turn it on

  • All fleets must be home: no fleet travelling, returning, on a mission or stationed.
  • No building upgrade, research, or ship / defense build may be running or queued.
  • No hostile attack may be on its way to one of your colonies. You cannot dodge an incoming attack with vacation mode.
  • Vacation mode has a 2-day cooldown after you turn it off.

While it is on

  • Nobody can attack or scout your colonies, and you cannot launch fleets.
  • Resource production stops on every colony, and ship and defense yards pause. Engine wear and overcharge pause too (see Engines).
  • Trade offers stop auto-renewing.
  • Some actions are unavailable, for example buying a Translocator at the Engineering Lab Workshop (see Colonization).
  • An alliance whose territory contains one of your colonies may relocate that colony once you have been on vacation for 30+ days (see Alliance Territory).

Turning it off

  • You must stay on vacation for at least 2 days.
  • Production and yards resume from the moment you turn it off. The time away is not paid out.

Long absences: stored empires

Empires that have clearly left the game are stored so their planets go back to the map for active commanders. Nothing is deleted when an empire is stored.

When an empire is stored

  • About a week after the game is uninstalled, if the commander has not signed in since.
  • After 30 days of vacation mode with no sign-in in those 30 days.

An empire with fleets still in flight is not stored until they land.

What happens

  • Every colony and moon leaves the map. Their planets become free for other players. Buildings, ships, defenses, research and resources are kept exactly as they were.
  • The empire is put on vacation mode: production stops and it cannot be attacked.
  • The commander leaves the leaderboards.
  • The commander leaves their alliance:
    • A member simply leaves.
    • A leader hands the alliance to the highest-ranked remaining member (deputy, then officer, then member), picking the most recently active one among equals. Every member gets a mail naming the new leader.
    • An alliance is only disbanded when the stored commander was its last member. An alliance with anyone else in it, active or not, is never disbanded for this.

Coming back

Just sign in. The empire returns to its Realm automatically before the game loads:

  • Each colony goes back to its old spot if it is still free, otherwise to the nearest free planet. Planet stats (temperature, size, resource rates, looks) travel with the colony, and moons come back around their planet.
  • If you were on vacation before you left, you are still on vacation. Otherwise vacation ends and production resumes. Production does not catch up for the time you were away.
  • You are no longer in an alliance: apply again or start a new one.

Account removal

Deleting your account

Settings β†’ Danger Zone β†’ Delete Account schedules deletion 7 days ahead. The account is in vacation mode until then, and you can cancel at any time before the date. After it, all data is removed permanently.

Accounts removed for inactivity

  • An account with no activity for 60 days, a score below 1,000 and no fleets in flight is scheduled for removal, then removed 7 days later unless the commander returns.
  • A stored empire is removed after 60 days without a sign-in, or 240 days if it was on vacation when it was stored. Signing in during the final 7 days still brings it back.
  • Accounts that have made a purchase are never removed for inactivity, stored or not.
