Patch Notes — 1.3.9

A consolidation-and-guidance release: empires move to one moon per planet (with full refunds), moon yards count at full weight, new commanders get a clearer onboarding path, and the team can ask for feedback with in-game polls — plus warp-hop and shipyard timing fixes.

Moon tonnage rules are in Tonnage. Or open Settings → Quick Guides in-game.

New Features

One moon per planet

  • Empires are limited to one moon per planet. New second moons can no longer form.
  • If a planet still has two moons, open Colony Settings on the moon you want to retire and use Abandon Second Moon.
  • Compensated abandon moves warehouse resources and hangar ships to the parent planet, refunds 100% of building resource investment to that planet, and grants Building Nano Boost items based on Defense Yard, Engineering Lab, and Fleet Hangar levels (up to 10 days). Planetary defenses on the abandoned moon are not transferred.
  • You have about two weeks to choose. Midway through that window, mail lists which moon would be auto-retired (with expected refunds). At the end, the weaker surplus moon (lowest total building investment) is abandoned automatically with the same compensation.

In-game polls

  • Occasional Quick poll prompts ask which areas to prioritize next. Vote or Skip; polls can target specific Realm levels and expire on a set date.

Onboarding refresh

  • Resource and exploration onboarding paths add clearer steps (Research Lab upgrades, Industrial / Construction Engineering, first Probe) and easier early mine targets.
  • Action buttons jump straight to the relevant building, research, or rename flow.
  • The alliance onboarding step can be skipped to continue solo (reward stays claimable).
  • Category tabs and progress display are cleaner for new commanders.

Improvements

  • Moon yards at 100% — Defense Yards (and any moon yards) contribute full level toward empire tonnage capacity (was 75%). Only one moon per planet counts — the moon with the highest Defense Yard.
  • Fleet activity scans show destination, clearer empty filters, and return / mission-end timers.
  • Sustained Suppression tooltips clarify that prolonged-combat attack ramps from rounds 3–6.
  • Score tooltips note that alliance donation score also soft-caps after 500B (same curve as buildings / research).

Balance

  • Ship build-time floors at Realm 4+ are lower for early-tier ships (and matching class ships: Planet Harvester, Explorer, Advanced Recycler), so short queues complete faster once you are past the mid-game floor.

Bug Fixes

  • Warp hop cannot be used for missions targeting your own colonies (logistics hops stay for external targets).
  • Very large ship / defense queues no longer overflow MySQL completion timestamps (queues that previously showed invalid / zero dates are healed).
  • Market trades between members of alliances that are at war are blocked.
  • Onboarding completion flags backfill correctly for commanders who finished the path before the flag was wired.
