Player Cosmetics

Personal cosmetics in Per Regna customize your commander and colonies. They do not affect combat stats or production.

Open Inventory β†’ Cosmetics and your Profile. Relic-backed looks start in Inventory β†’ Relics β€” see Relics.

Avatars (profile)

Avatar cosmetics replace your profile picture everywhere the commander appears (profile, lists, social surfaces).

  • Forge an avatar relic to unlock its base look, then buy color variants with Quantum Shards.
  • Equip from Profile β†’ change avatar.
  • Avatars are personal β€” they are never donated to an alliance.
  • From Realm 4 (the top realm), the profile button in the top-left corner shows your avatar instead of your realm level β€” but only for a bought variant. With no avatar or a free base look, it keeps showing the realm level.

Planet images

Planet Image cosmetics change the colony’s sprite in galaxy / system view. Images come in four families, and each colony is offered the family that suits its surface type:

Colony surface Planet image family
Rocky, Gas Giant Industrial
Hazardous Exploded
Oceanic, Ice Explorer
Volcanic, Desert Warlord
  • Open the colony customize UI β†’ Planet tab. It lists only the family for that colony's surface (shown in Colony Settings).
  • Preview (on the galaxy view) pans to the colony and shows the image on it for 10 seconds, then rolls back.
  • Equip a purchased or unlocked image; unequipping restores the seeded default sprite.
  • An image from another family can't be equipped on that colony, even if you own it.
  • Moons keep their own moon sprites (use moon surface cosmetics for lunar looks).

Planet & moon surfaces

Planet Surface and Moon Surface cosmetics change how the colony looks when you are on the surface (ground view), separate from the galaxy planet image.

  • Colony customize β†’ Surface tab.
  • Scope can be global (all matching colonies) or per colony depending on the item β€” use Equip / Equip to Colony in the cosmetics UI.
  • Preview (on the planet view) shows a surface on your colony for 10 seconds, owned or not, then rolls back to your current surface.

Building, ship & defense skins

Themed building skins, and when available ship / defense skins, change unit art without changing stats.

  • Browse Inventory β†’ Cosmetics and Packs for themed building bundles (partial ownership only charges missing skins).
  • Equip from the cosmetics inventory once owned.
  • Preview in the building window (on the planet view) shows a skin on that building for 10 seconds, owned or not, then rolls back.
  • Realm gates may apply to some packs β€” the shop shows requirements.

Previewing cosmetics

A preview lasts 10 seconds and only changes what you see: nothing is bought or equipped, and other players never see it. The chooser hides while it runs and comes back on the same item; tap the countdown at the top to end it early.

Titles & UI effects

Some cosmetics add titles or light UI effects for prestige. Equip them from Cosmetics when owned; they remain cosmetic-only.

How to apply (checklist)

  1. Unlock via relic forge, shop purchase, pack, or event grant.
  2. Open Inventory β†’ Cosmetics (or Profile / colony customize for the matching type).
  3. Equip (or Equip to Colony / globally as offered).
  4. Confirm the look in Profile, Galaxy, or colony view.
